Trek’s Powerfly+ eMTB Gets Singletrack-Minded With New Geometry and Bosch’s Latest Motor

(TREK PRESS RELEASE)

Today, Trek released its all-new Powerfly+ full suspension e-MTBs, giving the brand’s well-known e-SUV more trail capability, head-turning looks, and a quieter, smoother boost. The New Powerfly+ delivers plenty of support thanks to Bosch’s new Performance Line CX motor that’s both quieter and more natural-feeling than its predecessor, while still providing a full 85Nm of torque, so riders can effortlessly cruise up steep alpine trails and local hills alike.

Updated suspension and capability

Powerfly+ models get a boost in capability and style with all-new geometry that keeps riders feeling in control from singletrack to rugged paths. Powerfly+ full suspension models stretch out their suspension, with 120mm rear and 130mm front travel, while the updated rear suspension layout allows for the confidence of a lower standover height. Mounts for racks, mudguards, and a kickstand, make it simple for riders to build their Powerfly+ into a rugged utility vehicle or keep it trail-tuned.

Bosch’s latest motor

Bosch’s new Performance Line CX motor gives Powerfly+ the same 85Nm of torque as previous Powerfly models, but with smoother, more refined-feeling push and significantly less noise. Riders get all the benefit of a full-powered e-MTB in a package that feels and sounds more natural than ever.

Bigger, more secure battery

Powerfly+ also gets Bosch’s new PowerTube battery with 600Wh and 800Wh options for rugged commutes or epic alpine adventures. The new battery secures into Powerfly+ neatly with Trek’s updated Removable Integrated Battery (RIB 2.0) technology. New RIB 2.0 tech allows riders to secure or remove their battery with a quarter-turn of a key, while keeping their toes safe from a heavy hit thanks to a catch mechanism, allowing for more secure bike parking and easy battery removal for transport or charging.

Riders wanting to explore even farther can add Bosch’s PowerMore range extender to get more distance from every ride.

Smooth-rolling wheels

Powerfly+ comes equipped with 29˝ wheels for smoothing out rough trails and potholes, and plenty of room for traction-packed tires to stay planted on the trail. Size Small models come with 27.5˝ wheels for improved standover clearance and nimble handling.
