(YT Industries Press Release)
JEFFSY CORE: Trail Excellence Refined
Continuing its commitment to having your back in every situation, the latest JEFFSY CORE range is ready to tackle a wide range of terrain around the globe. Increasing trail performance is always on the agenda at YT, and the start of 2025 is no different, with a whole host of upgrades to the award-winning JEFFSY platform. Highlights include aluminum and carbon frame options, a move to Hayes Dominion brakes, a mix of Shimano and SRAM T-type drivetrains, and a return to carbon fiber wheels at the top end.
Frame & Features:
Offering five sizes, two frame materials, and rolling on 29” wheels, the third generation of JEFFSY plays to riders after an all-mountain ride. Carbon frame options come equipped with STASH downtube storage, with a double-sealed lid for water resistance and reduced noise levels. Aluminum frames forgo downtube storage yet retain top tube tool mounts for on-bike essentials. All models utilize the same progressive V4L linkage for 145mm in the rear and size-specific chainstay lengths – 437mm in sizes S-L and 442mm for XL-XXL ensure balanced cornering and climbing. The front end sits at 150mm of travel stock (approved for 160mm use) with a 65-degree head angle for super intuitive handling, while the effective 77-degree seat angle across all sizes ensures an optimum climbing position.
Specs:
At the top level sits the CORE 4, with its high performance and low-weight Ultra-Modulus carbon frame. FOX delivers Factory-level suspension with the 36 and Float X combination, with the former receiving the gravity-focused GRIPX2 damper for enhanced traction and chassis stability. DT Swiss has three decades of high-end wheel manufacturing experience, so the EXC1501 Spline package is a natural choice. Enduro-rated carbon fiber rims laced to top-tier 240 hubs assist with line control and acceleration efforts. A great wheelset needs tires to match, which is why the Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR II combo gets the sticky Maxxgrip compound up front for increased confidence – a spec choice found across all levels of the JEFFSY CORE range, regardless of price point. The Hayes Dominion A4 brakes further improve confidence with their light lever feel and massive stopping power, while SRAM’s X0 Transmission drivetrain ensures smooth ratio changes. Finishing this build is the YT Postman V2 with adjustable drop, SDG Bel air saddle, ODI grips, and YT exclusive Renthal Apex stem and Fatbar.
Taking cues from the enduro-focused CAPRA, the CORE 3 is available in both aluminum and carbon fiber frame options. Up front is the latest RockShox Lyrik Ultimate with the super sensitive Charger 3.1 damper, while the rear end sees a Super Deluxe shock with HSC/LSC adjustment. This time, T-Type Transmission comes in the S1000 variant, driving the Crankbrothers Synthesis Enduro 2 wheelset. The cockpit is the same as the model above, including ODI grips, Hayes Dominions brakes, and Renthal package.
The CORE 2 also offers the choice between aluminum and carbon fiber, this time with FOX Performance suspension. A Shimano XT shifter paired with an SLX drivetrain takes care of shifting, while Hayes Dominion brakes with 200mm rotors, a DT Swiss E1900 wheelset, a YT handlebar, and a Raceface stem round out the spec.
Last but not least is the CORE 1, always offering serious bang for the buck. The Drip Yellow aluminum frame utilizes a Marzocchi bomber suspension package, Deore drivetrain, SRAM’s DB8 mineral oil brakes, SUNRinglé wheels, and an in-house YT cockpit.
