Photo of the Day: They Used to Call Him “Special K”

 Kevin “Special K” Collins was one of the top amateur BMX racers in the world in the 1980s. After that, Collins studied kinesiology at the University of Michigan, and he now works as a professional fitness trainer in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Collins races road bikes these days in the amateur ranks and rides mountain bikes on the side. If he ever gets serious about racing on the dirt again, be prepared. He won the 10 Expert title at the Jag BMX World Championships back in 1980, and he went on to win a lot more BMX races after that, so don’t underestimate his bike skills or his racing smarts.
