TINKER TAKES A WIN AT THE STRAIT ACRES/OVER THE HUMP EVENT
Warren and Hines take the Pro Men's and Women's Dual Slalom titles
Tinker Juarez showed up to race on the same weekend that Austin “Bubba” Warren and Kialani Hines proved to be the big winners of the Pro Men’s and Pro Women’s Dual Slalom events this past weekend in Southern California. Here are the Pro Men’s and Pro Women’s Strait Acres Dual Slalom final results:
Kyle Strait’s name didn’t show up with any times in the Dual Slalom qualifiers, so we’ll have to presume that he chose not to race.
The race was held along with the Over the Hump XC races that took place at Irvine Lake in Silverado, California.
Here is a profile that MBA did on Austin “Bubba” Warren a few years ago:

and here’s another one we did on Kialani Hines a few years ago:

One of the results that caught our eye was seeing that Tinker Juarez won the Elite Masters XC race:

Tinker (at a racing age of 63) was the oldest rider in the nine-man class. The second place rider, Bob Sima, has a racing age of 58, which is 5 years younger than Tinker’s reported age. Karl Schult, whose age is indicated to be 50, based on the number shown after his name and the letter M, would be 13 years younger than Tinker, took third in the class.
