More than 30 years after his best year of racing, John Tomac is still widely considered the greatest all-around mountain biker in history.

Tomac won the UCI XC World Championship and World Cup titles in 1991, plus the U.S. Downhill title and the silver medal in the UCI’ Downhill World Championship.
