THROWBACK THURSDAY: CRASHING IN 2004
Some of our mistakes will be remembered for years
We didn’t have the name for this rider, but this crash was so spectacular that we used it for a full-page photo on the inside of our July 2004 issue, and we even used a smaller version of the photo as an inset shot on our cover that month.
Denise Boynton of Adrenaline Photos captured the action. We wouldn’t be surprised if the rider shown in the picture was stoked to have made the magazine. We’ve seen that in the past, where riders were happy to get in the magazine, even if they had to crash to do it.
