FLASHBACK FRIDAY: THE GREATEST DOWNHILL RACE RUN EVER
Aaron Gwin's Chainless World Cup win
Back in 2015, Aaron Gwin made history when he broke his chain at the start of his final run in the World Cup downhill at Leogang, Austria. To the shock of everyone there, including the race commentators, Gwin went all out and rode the whole course without a chain. When he crossed the finish line the announcers and the crowd went crazy. Gwin had just won what is still considered the greatest downhill race in history. If you’ve never seen it before, you owe it to yourself to see it. Even if you have seen it, it’s well worth watching again. It’s one of the greatest moments in mountain bike history.
