Niner is based in Fort Collins, Colorado, in an area with some gorgeous trails where its passionate team of adventurers can develop and test mountain bikes. The Niner staff is completely engaged with the outdoor way of life and likes to spread the stoke throughout the community. They work with local diggers who are devoted to preserving trails and giving people places to get out and ride. Niner strives to manufacture bikes that make any ride on a dirt trail better by listening to what riders are looking for in a bike.

Flashback to 2008 when Niner released a Reynolds 853 steel hardtail that was said to be “the most versatile bike in its lineup” during that time period. This model was the SIR 9 1.0 model. Since the SIR 9 came on the market in 2008, we’ve seen three different updates to the frame, leading us to the present version: the SIR 9 2.0. By today’s standards, is it still considered a do-it-all hardtail?
