SCOTT MTB RC ULTIMATE SHOES

Scott Sports has seen a lot of success the last few race seasons with racers like Nino Schurter and Jenny Rissveds winning Olympic gold medals and World Cup races. The RC Ultimate shoe was designed to match the performance of Scott’s RC line of cross-country race bikes. This shoe has a smaller volume fit designed spe- cifically for racing. Scott uses its Power Zone outsole for comfort during longer rides and HMX carbon for a lightweight yet stiff product. The RC shoes havea Boa IP-1 closure system and retail for $350 a pair. MAXXIS FOREKASTER 29X2.35 TIRES

All-around trail tread

Maxxis makes tires for just about every trail, with the Forekaster being an all-around design leaning towards aggressive cross-country riding. The Forekaster is available in 27.5 and 29 inches with widths going up to 2.6 in the smaller option. The 2.35 has 120 tpi with Maxxis’ Dual Compound and EXO casing for extra strength. GUP Industries is a new player in town with a unique approach to tire sealant. GUP designed a 125mL canister filled with tire sealant that functions as an inflator.
