World Champions and Olympians to descend on Bentonville for the first race in the Big Sugar Classic

Riders to Watch at the 2024 Life Time Little Sugar MTB Race

 

Bentonville, Ark., (October 10, 2024) – Ahead of a sold-out Life Time Little Sugar MTB event on Sunday, October 13, event owner and producer, Life Time, is excited to highlight a number of the elite athletes who will be competing in the 100K race. 

In only its second year, Life Time Little Sugar MTB has become well-known in the off-road cycling community for spotlighting the world-class MTB trails in Northwest Arkansas. This year’s 100K race will offer a $65,000 prize purse split between the top five men and women finishers. The prize purse is generously funded in part by the Walton Family. 

Some of the elite riders to watch on October 13th include:

Riley Amos: U23 Men’s XCO and XCC UCI World Champion. Member of the Team USA Mountain Bike team, having competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Crystal Anthony: Three-time Cyclocross World Championship team member and Bentonville local. Crystal finished fifth in the elite women’s 100K race at Little Sugar MTB last year.

Haley Batten: Winner of the silver medal for Team USA Mountain Biking at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Haley has placed on several World Cup podiums and made her first elite World Cup win in 2024. She took first in the elite women’s 100K race at Little Sugar MTB last year. 

Matt Beers: Three-time Cape Epic winner (2021. 2023, 2024) and 2024 Life Time Grand Prix athlete, currently sitting in third place. Beers took second place in the elite men’s 100K race at Little Sugar MTB last year.

Christopher Blevins: Member of the Team USA Mountain Bike team, having competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics and 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He has finished on the podium for a number of  Mountain Bike National and UCI World Championships.

Savilia Blunk: 2024 Elite National Champion in XCO and XCC, Savilia has multiple U23 World Cup and Elite World Cup podiums. Member of the Team USA Mountain Bike team, having competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. She took second in the elite women’s 100K race at Little Sugar MTB last year.

Taylor Lideen: Professional cyclist and Northwest Arkansas native, Taylor finished seventh in the elite men’s 100K race at Little Sugar MTB last year.

Madigan Munro: Multiple Under-23 National Champion and played a pivotal role in Team USA earning their first-ever gold medal in the Mixed Team Relay at those same World Championships in Andorra.

Hannah Otto: Elite Women’s National Team Member and multiple XTERRA and XCO title winner. Hannah is a Life Time Grand Prix athlete and currently sits in sixth place in the 2024 series.

Keegan Swenson: Two-time Life Time Grand Prix Champion and 2023 USA Gravel Cycling National Champion. Keegan took first in the elite men’s 100K race at Little Sugar MTB last year.

Sofia Gomez Villafane: Reigning Life Time Grand Prix champion and currently in first place for the 2024 series. Represented Argentina at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in cross-country bicycling. Sofia finished third in the elite women’s 100K race at Little Sugar MTB last year.
