FIRST LOOK: THE NEW SANTA CRUZ 5010

Mullet and Glovebox included

Santa Cruz is on a roll. First, it introduces a redesigned Heckler eMTB, then the Hightower, and shortly after the new Nomad. You can now add its playful 5010 to the list. The new bike sees the addition of a 29″ front wheel, Glovebox downtube storage, and a sag indicator window on the frame. New geometry features seat tube angles and chainstay lengths matched to the frame size but it still retains the low bottom bracket height and tight rear end that made the bike agile and engaging on the trail.

It’s 130mm travel VPP suspension is refined with less anti-squat than pervious 5010 versions for better sensitivity and reduced pedal kickback. Santa Cruz says that it also gives the bike a very progressive leverage curve to give the rider plenty of predictable support for rowdy riding on this short travel bike.

The 5010 will be offered in 13 different configurations with aluminum, carbon C, and Carbon CC frames. Pricing is not available.
