PNW PEBBLE WITH DYNAPLUG MULTI-TOOL REVIEW

Tech features:

PNW’s pocket-sized Pebble is an anodized aluminum tool comes equipped with 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm Hex wrenches, and a T25 Torx wrench, which is hidden under a Dynaplug tire plug accessory. The Pebble tool comes with one Soft Nose Tip (Dynaplug part # DPB-1472) but is also compatible with  the Pointed Tip (Dynaplug part # DPB-1670), Bullet Tip (Dynaplug® part # DPB-1496), and Soft Nose For Air Road Kit (Dynaplug part # DPB-4068). It is offered in four colors: Golden Daze Bronze, Blood Orange, Blackout Black and Fruit Snacks.

Field test results:

The Pebble is very compact going nearly unnoticed in a pocket. It has exactly what you need most of the time, but there are times where its limited tool selection falls short for every trailside emergency. Having a tire plug at the ready is a real ride saver, since flats are the most common mechanical issue out on the trail. However, with only one plug and nowhere to store more on the tool, you’d better make it count and hope the hole is not too big. The tool is sturdy and high quality overall. It’s short but extra leverage can be gained by folding out the opposite end tools and using them as a lever. After a few months of use we noticed that the tool’s pivot had loosened up, requiring tightening. There was not much threadlocker, so we would recommend adding some low-strength Loctite to keep things put if they come loose like ours did.
