MBA: Where did you grow up?
Chloe: Boulder, Colorado.
MBA: What kind of work do your father and mother do?
Chloe: My dad is an artist and my mom is an architect.
MBA: When did you first start riding a bicycle?
Chloe: When I was 4.
MBA: When did you first start racing bikes, and what kind of bike was it?
Chloe: My first race bike was a ’96 Trek 8700, which I raced in 2002–2004, including at the ’04 World Championships in Les Gets, France.
MBA: How did you finish?
Chloe: I was the last finisher at the 2004 World Champs in the Junior Women’s race.
MBA: Did you do any other kinds of bike racing before competing on mountain bikes?
Chloe: I raced on the road while in college at the University of Arizona.
